I stayed in Phoenicia Royal for 3 nights and everything was more than expected. Beggining with the hospitality of the staff, the amazing and diversity of the food, the perfect room with the perfect view of the sea where you cand enjoy the sunrise from your shower and the attention for details in every corner. Located conveniently in Mamaia Nord with private beach.

Disappointing Stay at Phoenicia Luxury Resort – Definitely Not 4-Star Quality Unfortunately, my stay at Phoenicia Luxury Resort in Mamaia has been far from “luxury.” From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were rude and unwelcoming. Things only went downhill from there. On day one, my room flooded due to a defective wall AC unit it ruined all the snacks I had placed on the table beneath it. The hair dryer didn’t work, and despite being here for five days, no one has swept or mopped the room. Trash and dirty dishes have been sitting outside my door for days. Even though our reservation was for four people, we received only two towels, and this happened three days in a row. On level 6, where I’m staying, coffee supplies in the hallway are always missing, and guests are forced to search other floors just to get basics like sugar or stirrers. The only glimmer of hope came after I personally spoke with the manager, who actually seemed to care. He apologized, sent a fruit basket and champagne to the room (which I appreciated, even though I don’t drink), and most importantly — I finally received clean towels shortly after our conversation. That moment showed me that the real issue is a disconnect between management and the staff, and it’s causing the entire operation to suffer. To top things off, the electricity went out tonight. I got stuck alone in the elevator and was lucky to get out before power failed entirely for 30 minutes. As I type this, the lights just went out again. This stay has been nothing short of frustrating. While they may claim to be a 4-star resort, I would give them negative stars if I could. This experience does not match the price or the expectation that comes with the word “luxury.

The rooms are badly isolated and prepare to share AC with your neighbors. We asked the hotel before booking if it was silent during the nights, and they assured us it was. First night as we arrive a DJ is giving a live concert to 0 people and one neighbor hotel is having a manele concert. The hotel staff does not care about it at all. Breakfast is disappointing with very little choice and the dinner was looking so bad we chose to go other places every night. I would not recommend this place.
