Lost somewhere in the north of Thailand, this hotel immediately creates a unique atmosphere. Yes, it's old, but that only adds to its charm. It feels like a place forgotten by time, yet still alive in its own way. The location is incredibly secluded, with almost no people around, making it perfect for those seeking peace and solitude. There are excellent trekking trails, about 4–5 km long, leading to small tea plantations. However, if you don't have a car, be aware that there are no shops nearby, so you'll be somewhat limited. But if you're looking for a complete escape from civilization, this is more of a benefit than a drawback. The hotel has a nice restaurant serving traditional northern Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is especially magical in the evening when the lights come on. The design blends natural elements with charming details, creating a cozy and harmonious vibe. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into decorating the rooms—every little detail feels carefully chosen with love and attention. The only downside was a loud party nearby at midnight, which made it hard to sleep, though luckily, it happened only once. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. This place is perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, immerse themselves in nature, and embrace a slower, more peaceful rhythm of life.

From a sneaky nap in the most comfortable day bed ever ,drifting off to the sound of nature to the most amazing bath with the most scented amenities I have ever found with piping hot water and superb water pressure , you won’t be left wanting , the rooms superb , bed soft , air-con cold and the vibe just right From arrival to departure this was the night we needed. Dined in , who wouldn’t ,local food was insanely good and the chef should be proud and perfectly priced . I’m not easily pleased but I was pleasantly surprised , in fact beyond my expectations . An old dame well worth a visit , we will be back and can’t wait to watch the transformation once the rain stops .

Direction signs for the resort are not well-prepared. Instead, follow the road to Katiliya Resort. When I first checked in, there were no people at the reception, so I had to find an employee. I asked the resort when I was making my reservation because breakfast was not included. The resort answered breakfast is included, but I had to pay for breakfast separately when I arrived and checked in. There were no bugs in the room, and there were no refrigerators too. The swimming pool was under construction too. The restaurant in the resort was not good, I recommend you to go out and eat. But the breakfast was quite satisfying.
