It's my new happy place! I loved everything about this hotel, the location is a dream at the foot of Mount Etna, the rooms are brand new and very comfortable, the restaurants are great, the pools are cool, the service is perfect and the smile and the kindness of all of the staff members was heartwarming. The golf course is super challenging and we had great fun playing it 5-6 times without getting annoyed, and they have a great Pro-shop with nice equipment and accessories! For me and my family it was a perfect stay! Thank you very much!
To start with, the location is fantastic if you’re looking for peace and quiet — it’s tucked away in a remote setting, which makes it feel like a real escape, with Mount Etna in the background. The hotel has recently been recently remodeled, and it shows. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated, giving a fresh and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection and quality ingredients. That said, there are a few small downsides that I would not expect at a five-star property. The rooms, while stylish, lack some of the expected amenities — for instance, no body lotion was provided. Access to the spa isn’t always included in the room rate and has to be paid for separately and booked in advance. Pool towels aren’t readily available unless you ask, and the breakfast menu isn’t proactively shared — you only get it if you specifically request it. Overall, this is a great hotel: quiet, beautifully updated, with great views and facilities. With a few extra touches in service and amenities, it could easily rise to the next level.
We came here for our honeymoon as part of a multi-week trip through Italy and Malta, and this resort was one of the most visually stunning places we stayed. The property itself is beautiful, nestled in the Sicilian mountains with sweeping views of Mt. Etna and the surrounding countryside. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful—they went above and beyond to assist with booking our Mt. Etna trek and arranging transportation. The service at reception in particular was excellent. The facilities are also top-notch. The spa was one of the highlights of our stay—peaceful, relaxing, and well-equipped. You could easily spend a full day enjoying everything the resort has to offer without ever leaving the grounds. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback of our stay was the food. We tried a wide variety of items from the restaurant menu over the course of several days and were consistently disappointed. The dishes often seemed like upscale or modern reinterpretations of traditional Sicilian meals, but they generally lacked depth of flavor, proper texture, or cohesion. Presentation was prioritized over substance. To make matters worse, the main hotel restaurant was closed during our entire stay—despite being advertised as open—and we were only able to dine at the golf club restaurant. This further limited the dining options available, which was frustrating given the resort’s remote location and lack of nearby alternatives. When food is such a central part of the experience, this becomes a significant issue. If the restaurant matched the standard of the rest of the resort, this would have been an easy five-star review
