Picturesque Chester Abode With Free Wifi

Nice hotel Gym is basic but good. Air conditioning works well in rooms. The windows can’t be opened. Underground parking £20. Good steak restaurant in the same building. Receptionists were friendly and quick. Weird breakfast type. You have to prepay, and after you order individually. We waited for 40 minutes for oat porridge. Not acceptable. Location is good. Walkable distance to the beautiful Chester centre

Stayed for one night in July 2025 when attending a conference in another hotel. This one is ideally situated close to the city centre and overlooking the racecourse. From the outset, the stay was excellent. Parking at the hotel was a breeze, check-in was quick and efficient, and the rooms were really nice. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, where the food was lovely with a good choice. The service in the restaurant was absolutely great; the two members of staff were a credit to the hotel. Breakfast too was lovely, and service again was first-class. I'll certainly be back for a city break in the near future.

Great hotel well placed on the edge of Chester. The old castle is opposite the entrance and the racecourse is behind the hotel. If you can get a window seat in the Brasserie then you can have a great view of the racecourse. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, iron/ironing board, air conditioning etc. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. There is a bar on the ground floor and there is also a small gym. Overall a great place to stay.
