Had a fantastic stay at Pier One Sydney. The location is unbeatable. You're only ever a short walk from the city's best spots, yet the hotel still feels tucked away and peaceful. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Eugene at concierge, who truly stood out with exceptional service and local recommendations. One of the highlights was enjoying drinks while watching the sunset over the harbour... an absolute must-do if you're staying here. Highly recommend and would happily stay again!
Very comfortable. Staff very friendly and personable and remembered me by name. Concierge very helpful. Room was nice - love the design and so many places on the railings to hang things! Great waterfront proximity and a few steps to a view of Sydney Opera House. Bathroom sink design was a bit weird, one of those things that look pretty but not very comfortable to use - the bowl-on-the-table design pops kind of high on the counter, and the faucet goes a bit low, making the experience a bit awkward. That's the only thing where the design could be more comfortable. Everything else was really good.
My husband and I wanted to visit this hotel for years and finally did so. Don't get me wrong the view (if you book the right room) is lovely and the location is good but the room was very dirty. The service in the bar, restaurant and reception are great so this is not about them. But the rooms looked like they hadn't done a deep clean since... Well ever. There was also pain peeling and toothpaste splattered on the wall in the bathroom. This is not what you expect to get for $750 a night. I didn't make a big deal so not to spoil my husband's stay but after such a lot of money I am disappointed. They must rely on the view to get away with the state of the room and hallway leading up to the rooms which were dirty too. I mean even the doubt covers were those weird two sheet ones exposing the dirty douvet underneath. And the sheets are crisp white.
