The service is excellent, the guys at the restaurant are funny and kind, the cleaniness of the room is flawless, the recepcionists are helpful. The room has air condition, so even in the summer the room is cool. The sea is 1 min distance you just have the cross the road from some room you have the view to the sea. If you rather prefer swim in a pool, there are a big with deep water for adults and a small for children. However there is a pool for children, and the staff is friendly with children, other facilities (eg. potty) is not available for them, not a typical children hotel. The breakfast shows that they may have a lot of american, english tourist who want to eat the same food as at home. Bacon and egg available every day, also the coffee is rather tea. But you can eat and drink italian breakfast (cornetto and other cakes) and espresso as well. Alternative milk for coffee available at request (oat, soy, rice, mandel) but for breakfast other vegan food not really. I missed fresh fruits (there were some canned) and more veggies, maybe cakes without milk and egg.
Rooms were always spotless the cleaning staff were fantastic. The service was incredible nothing was too much, the food was always lovely in the evening and the staff were hilarious always up for a laugh and a joke. Massimo the waiter was lovely recommended places to eat, made sure everyone was enjoying themselves constantly at dinner so we always had a nice meal together. The view from the hotel was lovely and located close to a port so you could easily explore the rest of the coastline including amalfi, positano and capri for a day trip but it was always nice to return to the Maiori in the evening which is generally a much calmer environment. The evening entertainment on a Friday was perfect, great selection of songs and a lovely band. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. Thankyou!
Breakfast is very poor. Vegetables: tomatoes and that’s it. Daily: hard-boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. Fruits: on request. If you don't know that you should ask for it, no one will tell you. 2 types of sausage and sliced cheese. Bread, croissants and butter. On the beach, to get a sunbed on the first line, you need to argue with the staff, since they prefer to sell these sunbeds, rather to give them to guests. There is constant smoking on the beach, despite the fact that the staff said that smoking is prohibited on the beach. No one stops it, and no one controls it. My husband constantly has to use his own approach and ask guests not to smoke, since I am pregnant. The rooms themselves are modest, quite old, but overall everything is clean. On the plus side: in the lobby there is a shelf with books in different languages, from where you can take a book to read if you forgot to take yours with you. Or leave the book your have already read. Close to the beach.
