Pieve Aldina Relais & Châteaux

What an unbelievable time! My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon here and regretted ever leaving!! We took a train from Rome to Florence and drove to Pieve Aldina, it was very easy and convenient, especially being our first time in Italy. We were met by the director and her staff (I’m sorry, I can’t remember the amazing French ladies name) who were absolutely fantastic! Everyone, front desk, restaurant and valet staff were so polite and not overbearing. They inquired about our plans and then made suggestions based on what we wanted to do. Each one was perfect for us and we had a blast. The room was immaculate and had a great view. It was always kept clean. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We loved walking the grounds after dinner enjoying some wine and the views. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you again for such a great and memorable experience.

A nice hotel, stylish rooms but the service, depending on who you get can leave a bitter aftertaste. A pity as we were not made to feel welcome in an otherwise nice hotel. We stayed several nights and lucky enough to experience some other, forthcoming waiters too.

Even though the rooms are nice and modern, our overall experience at Pieve Aldina was unfortunately disappointing. The room was uncomfortably hot due to a broken AC, and despite multiple requests, the issue was never addressed. The staff were generally unhelpful and lacked friendliness, which took away from the atmosphere. Breakfast was also a letdown — very low quality and not what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. Sadly, the service did not live up to the setting. We won’t be back.
