Pigna D'Oro Country Hotel

The hotel is on the side of a mountain and has gorgeous views. From the restaurant with floor to ceiling windows you have great views even when the weather is not so nice. My room had a spacious balcony with mire of those same spectacular views. The room was tastefully appointed, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good too. The restaurant was very good with a very good selection for pretty much everyone. Parking was easy & Wi-Fi was good and free. Italian breakfast was included.

We have stayed here many times in the past and were always more than satisfied. Great value, in a quiet environment ......that was until this trip . We checked in late in the afternoon of an exceptionally hot June day and noticed a few teens at the pool area . The following morning while sitting outside finishing my coffee, I noticed Not one or two carloads of kids being dropped off, but more like 5 or 6 carloads. We then wen5 out for lunch and returned to relax by the pool, only to be surprised by what we’re now between 30-40 teenagers with load music enjoying the pool. I’m sure they were paying* for the right to swim, but this is a country hotel NOT a place for teens to swim?

The place of the hotel and the view at the swimming pool was amazing. But the staff was incredibely rude, the dinner was terrible. The waiters were chaotic even though there werent many guests. Probably the worst service I ever experienced personally.
