Pine Astoria Hotel

One of the best hotel choices in the area. The breakfast is diverse and delicious, with plenty of options to satisfy all tastes. The service is excellent — professional, complete, and attentive. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-organized. They come equipped with everything you might need, including an iron, hair dryer, and a variety of shampoos and lotions — a thoughtful touch, especially appreciated by women. The staff is very polite and speaks English fluently, making communication smooth and easy. The only small downside is that the street leading to the hotel is quite steep, which might be a bit challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The hotel was recommended, for its location, but in actual it’s kind of located in an isolated area, and you would need to walk some distance to reach the square or the main street.It didn’t matter much, as most of our time was outside. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is ok, but doesn’t match that of a usual 5 stars hotel. The Gym is basic, with a view to an outdoor corridor.

Positive aspects: • Comfortable mattresses. • Some breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. • Cleaning staff were polite and efficient. Negative aspects: • The pool and gym were closed, and the hotel management failed to communicate this important information both before and after booking. Given the progress of construction work observed during my stay, these facilities are likely to remain unavailable for several months. This lack of transparency seems unfair. • Location is not ideal. Although it’s within walking distance of the city center, without amenities like the pool and gym, it feels average. For the same price, you can easily find accommodations in a more central location with better facilities. • Ventilation/air conditioning system did not function properly; the air remained warm despite adjusting the settings to cooling mode and lowering the temperature. • Information provided on the booking website was misleading, indicating the hotel as “Hotel Astoria” instead of “Pine Astoria,” making it difficult to find the correct entrance. Overall, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel as it does not offer good value for the money. There are plenty of superior alternatives available in the city.
