Pine Spring Hotel

Hotel has a great view. Breakfast is ok. Room is neat and clean but pretty small. They only provide 2 water bottles in the room. If you want to drink more water then you have to pay for it. Which I found it bit funny and stupid, As you pay so much amount to stay and in other hotel you can drink as much as water but in this hotel you need to pay it. Can recommend to stay.

The view from the hotel is absolutely amazing — definitely the highlight of our stay. The food was just okay, nothing too special. The rooms were quite small, and unfortunately, the heating system wasn’t working properly. There were frequent electricity cuts every 20-30 minutes, and every time the power came back, the heater didn’t turn on automatically. We had to manually switch it on using the remote, which was really frustrating at night when we were trying to sleep. With temperatures at -5°C, it got quite cold and uncomfortable. Another issue we faced was with the geyser — it took forever to get hot water, and even after waiting a long time, it barely got warm. We asked the staff about it, and they assured us that hot water would come, but it never really did. We didn’t contact the staff about the heating system since we were only there for a day and decided to manage. Overall, while the property is nice and the staff were friendly, these issues made the stay disappointing.

Worst Experience – Please Avoid This Hotel We had a terrible experience at Pine Spring Resort, Pahalgam on July 21, 2025. Right after we checked in, we realized the room given to us was completely different from what we had booked. We had paid for a 225 sq.ft deluxe room with clear photos and details shown on MakeMyTrip, but were given a very small room, definitely under 100 sq.ft. When we raised the issue, the staff admitted that the actual room was under renovation. They claimed this was mentioned on their own website, but we had booked through MakeMyTrip — where no such information was provided. In fact, the platform clearly displayed room size and photos that turned out to be misleading. Instead of accepting responsibility, the hotel management refused to cancel the booking or coordinate with MakeMyTrip for a refund. We were left to handle the situation ourselves and spent over 5 hours at the hotel reception, trying to get support from MakeMyTrip, which was extremely difficult to reach. To make matters worse, the hotel falsely claimed we had used the room, just to deny the refund. With no other option, we had to call the local police, who arrived at the hotel to help resolve the issue. Only after police intervention did the hotel finally agree to send the refund approval to MakeMyTrip. This whole experience felt like a scam — misleading room listings, no accountability, and poor customer handling. If a room is under renovation, it should not be listed, and certainly not with false specifications. Avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s not worth the stress, time, or money. There are far better and more honest accommodations in Pahalgam.
