The rooms are outdated, but it is clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is nice. It is conveniently located 10 minutes' walk from the subway station and has gated parking!
Not a 4 stars hotel! we paid 100 euros extra for a supliment bed for 3 days a little boy of 4y old. We had 2 extra beds, both terrible!! like broken in half. Breakfast was fine. Location of the hotel is a disaster, very dirty and with bad ppl.
DO NOT TRUST THE 4 STARS! I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, and I’ve never seen a so-called “4-star” hotel like this. Pinewood Hotel was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived. Our first room was tiny, old, and clearly neglected. The shower was rusted and broken, but the real issue was the size. I swear, if I were just 20 lbs heavier, I physically wouldn’t have fit in that shower. When I called the front desk, they told me they could change the room the next day, so I ended up going a night without a proper shower. They did move us the following day to a room with a slightly bigger (maybe 10 cm more) shower, which was somewhat better, and I stopped complaining to focus on enjoying my trip. The entire hotel is outdated. Not in a charming, antique way, just plain old and neglected. Rusted metal parts, broken fixtures, and even our AC only blew in one direction and didn’t work properly. It’s obvious the owners haven’t invested in any meaningful upgrades in years. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 purely because of the staff, they were kind and helpful, doing their best in a rough situation. As for breakfast, I saw some reviews claiming the croissants were “the best.” I honestly wonder if those reviewers have ever had a proper croissant before. Everything, including the bread was stale, and the plates were old and worn. There was one poor lady working the entire breakfast area alone, doing her best, but I couldn’t even find a clean table to sit at. That part wasn’t her fault, it was a staffing issue. To be clear: we didn’t stay here cheaply, and for what we paid, this place was absolutely not worth it. If you’re reading this and hoping for a nice vacation, please look elsewhere. And if you still decide to give it a try like I did… good luck 😇
