The restaurant at Pirin Park Hotel offers a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and elegant atmosphere. The menu combines traditional Bulgarian and international dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and professional, making you feel welcome from the start. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
Lovely, clean rooms & good choice of tasty food for both breakfast and dinner. Chilled ambience and helpful staff. The only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the water in the pools. The smaller of the two outdoor pools is very dirty. Kids (and many adults) are jumping in and out of it all day long, I've seen the small kids pee in it and it's got a constant layer of dirt floating on top. When I asked the staff how often this is changed they replied once a month but some of the regular guests who have apartments in the hotel explained that this is not the case, it's less frequently. This should be changed at least weekly with this level of use. The larger pool is cleaned and changed only at the end of season and there is no constantly flowing fresh water. The water in it is recycled they explained. The smell of bleach is strong. As this is a mineral spa hotel it would be great if guests can benefit from the mineral content of the water rather than soak in excessive quantities of pool chemicals. Still, the ambience is very much worth a visit.
Have been coming to this place every summer since 2008. But it looks like this year was our last one. We loved the rooms, the breakfast, the location, the pool. It's funny but it takes only one day of bad experience to make decisions like this. So, on that day the hotel has decided to allow birthday party around the pool. And more than one! They have pool rules of no jumping but all that was forgotten on the day. Turns out there are people owning apparments near the pool, this is all part of the Hotel area. And these folks treat the pool as their own. They decided to make birthday parties for their kids and invited lots of their friends from the town. Hotel management in their infinite wisdom allowed this. So, the result was hours of running and yelling kids around the pool who would do all kinds of jumping contests. Needless to say the hotel guest who were at the pool on that day couldn't take a swim or have a quiet moment. The pool guards and staff having formed relationships with the appartment owners near by would be very friendly toward them and would allow them to break any rules. There is another rule of not making lounge chair reservations by throwing a towel on the chairs but we witnessed the pool guard actually reserving them for the apparment owners. And not to mention the kids living in these appartments coming to the pool with their bikes! (you can see how they parked their bikes in the morning when they came down for breakfast form the near by apparments). Yes, the place was good some years back but now all discipline, proffesionalism and order has given up to the demands of the local appartment owners. They treat it as their own back yard and if you visit the hotel and especially the pool you will feel you are not wanted. We were actually threatened by one of the local guys when we asked the kids to keep it down after hours of mayhem. The guy threatened to kick me in the pool and drown me. When we complained to hotel management their response was muted, they didn't quite appologies, they didn't talk to the guy. So, yeah, we want to be a 5 star hotel but we are long way from it.
