Great resort, seems like a hidden gem outside the city. We dont speak Italian, but the staff was super helpful and made us feel comfortable, especially the ladies at the front desk! We had a couples message in the spa, it was my favorite part of the trip so far! We had Gabriella & Davide as our massage therapists, they were wonderful! The spa room was beautiful & clean, over all great experience! I'll be sure to book more spa treatments before we check out. Thank you staff!!!
We really loved our 2-night stay in the lake view lodge of Plana Resort. The rooms are clean, and the view is priceless at any time of the day. Communication with the staff during the day goes smoothly via WhatsApp. They are very responsive and always friendly. I agree that ordering room service is a bit expensive, but the quality and the lake view make it worthwhile. The main improvement point for us concerns the booking office. We asked explicitly which accommodation type is suitable for 2 large dogs, but then they failed to inform the reception. Therefore, they still had to make arrangements on the spot. Then, they assigned us to the lodge closest to the outdoor bar that played loud music until beyond midnight, even though we also clearly informed them we would arrive with a newborn. This just doesn't make sense to me. Luckily, we had our own white noise machine with us.. Overall, our experience has been pleasant, but it didn't reach perfection.
We booked this hotel after two amazing weeks traveling through Italy, and sadly, this was the only place that truly disappointed us. We paid €400 for a cabin that felt more like a dirty shack — no privacy, filthy floors, scratched-up walls, and unbearable noise (loud music across the lake and a constant beeping). They even provided earplugs, which says a lot. The cabin is far from the main area, with no parking and no way to get around without waiting for a driver. The pool area was also in bad shape, with peeling floors. We asked for a refund, were denied, and offered alternatives which we didn’t want. It was a shocking experience and not worth the price at all. I genuinely don't know how this hotel was rated 4 stars.
