Plataran Borobudur Resort & Spa

Our stay at Plataran Hotel and Spa in Borobudur was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with warmth and care that went far beyond typical hospitality. Every team member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and sincere, creating a personable atmosphere that made our stay feel incredibly special. Throughout our time there, we were surprised with thoughtful little gifts and gestures that added a magical touch to the experience. The staff went out of their way to arrange drivers when we needed them, and they even ensured we had a beautifully packed breakfast box ready for our very early 4 a.m. departure—a small detail that says so much about the level of care they put into their service. Our villa was next level—luxurious, serene, and beautifully designed, complete with a private pool that made it feel like our own personal paradise. It was the perfect blend of comfort and style, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The food was equally exceptional. Dining at The Patio was a highlight, and the chef made my wife’s 40th birthday dinner an evening to remember, complete with a special birthday dessert that was both delicious and heartfelt. In every way, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world. Plataran Borobudur is not just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel cared for, relaxed, and truly spoiled. Highly, highly recommended.

We absolutely loved the Borobudur Resort and our villa was exceptional. The facilities are amazing, the grounds impressive and maintained beautifully. Food is delicious across the restaurants and the service is faultless. We also had amazing treatments at the spa. Nothing was too much trouble for the polite, thoughtful and wonderful staff. We felt like we were in paradise.

The rooms are great, very spacious, clean and the view is exquisite. The service is great, if you ever need any assistance with anything; (a buggy, directions, luggage carrier.) they're only one call away. As per location, the road definitely gets scary at times and at night, there isn't really much to see (literally, it's really dark outside.)
