I loved Plataran Ubud! I had such a great stay at the start of my Bali trip that I stayed there again for a few days at the end of my trip. It feels like you’re in the countryside surrounded by gorgeous lush green rice fields and nature, with stunning views from the glorious pools, gym, restaurant and rooms, yet it’s walkable to shops and restaurants and right in Ubud city center. This is the perfect place for yoga lovers as it’s 4 min walk to The Yoga Barn! The staff were all super friendly, kind, attentive and helpful and went over and above to prepare healthy vegan and GF foods for me and make sure I had a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!
My wife and I stayed here for a few nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was perfect with a great view and good functioning air conditioning especially with the hot and humid weather. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and walkable to restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend!
We booked our stay at the Plataran Ubud one year in advance and paid extra for a private villa with a plunge pool. When we arrived, we were told only at check-in that the room was overbooked. Instead of owning the issue from the start, management insisted we were being given an “upgrade” to a larger suite, even though it lacked the plunge pool and privacy we specifically paid for. The way they framed it made us feel gaslit, not valued. We repeatedly pushed for a fair resolution, but their only solution was a 1-hour massage for just one of us out of our couple. It was only after we posted a negative review that they offered to comp a couple's spa treatment we already had scheduled, which felt more like damage control than genuine customer care. The location, food, and support staff were all lovely, but the way management handled their mistake was incredibly disappointing. We left feeling let down, dismissed, and like our year-ahead planning meant nothing. We would not stay here again and can’t recommend it.
