Had a wonderful stay at Platinum Hotel Jimbaran Beach! Right from entering, it gives off a nice, upscale 4-star vibe. All the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting us warmly. We were lucky to get upgraded to a sea-view room, which offered beautiful views of the beach and ocean—falling asleep to the sound of waves was a highlight! Although the large pool looked inviting, sadly, we didn’t get a chance to swim. Breakfast was included, offering an impressive variety to choose from. The rooftop bar and restaurant were fantastic, featuring live performances that added a great ambiance. It’s definitely one of the best spots to relax at sunset, especially with the amazing views of both the ocean and planes landing at the airport nearby. The food at the restaurant was decent, though nothing extraordinary. However, the attentive service more than made up for it, with staff even recommending local shopping spots. Our room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfy, and we appreciated having both a separate shower unit and bathtub. Room service and amenities provided were excellent. They were also responsive enough to pause some maintenance work upon request because it was a bit noisy. The hotel is conveniently located near several popular seafood restaurants loved by both tourists and locals. Although we didn’t get time to use the fitness center, it looked well-equipped. Overall, Platinum Hotel Jimbaran Beach is a fantastic choice for a comfortable and relaxing multi-night stay!
Hotel is modern, nice big room, very friendly staff, great location opposite the beach, great spa, gym and swimming pools. Rooftop bar and restaurant is something completely different. Food and service is shocking. My wife and I went there for dinner, we were not very hungry so we chose ala carte menu rather than BBQ seafood and steak banquet. I ordered chicken salad and my wife ordered chicken soup. After about 20 minutes we asked one of the staff if she could check on our order, she never came back another 10 minutes later we asked another staff, again no response another 10 minutes later overall 40 minutes we decided to leave, they asked us to stay and our food will be ready in 5 minutes, we left. Next night we went for a their Seafood and Steak BBQ banquet. There was no one to meet us at the door and guide us to a table so we found a table, staff didn’t even know we were there for at least 10 minutes. I got 3 slices of steak which was cold and not addible, couldn’t bite it, was like rubber, salad had about 30% brown onion. Bbq white fish was overcooked and dry, small prawns on a skewer was overcooked and dry and stir fried calamari was average. Overall staff seemed lazy, they don’t seem to have proper system in place, not well trained. Their kitchen staff just the same, food was poor and definitely not a 5 star or even 4 star more like 2 star service and food. It’s a shame because it has enormous potential, great rooftop venue. New manager and completely new staff is needed here, their culture need to change at this beautiful rooftop venue.
They claim this is a luxury hotel, but honestly, it’s far from it and definitely not worth the price we paid (around €90 per night). The rooms face an inner courtyard, and directly opposite there’s another row of rooms. Because of this, you have to keep the curtains closed all the time if you want any privacy at all. We also had an issue where we got locked out of our room — the door jammed and wouldn’t open. We called reception for help, and the receptionist told us he would come right away. However, we ended up waiting more than half an hour until we finally went down ourselves, only to find out he had completely forgotten about us. As for breakfast, while the food itself was fine, the service was very poor. The waiters are clearly still in training, unprofessional, and we even heard them laughing at and criticizing guests behind their backs. Overall, this is a very average hotel and I honestly wouldn’t pay more than €40-50 per night. It’s simply not worth it, especially considering how bad the staff’s attitude and service are.
