Platzl Hotel

The Platzl Hotel is fantastic. We arrived via the airport and were able to take the S1 or S8 straight to MarienPlatz and the hotel. The breakfasts were incredible. I had delicious muesli along with a slice of fresh baked bread, cheese & smoked salmon. There were so many delicious choices for breakfast. My whole family of 5 enjoyed it. For our room, we read the reviews and chose a room on the courtyard, where it was perfectly quiet. The service here was excellent. My family of 5 really loved this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights while transiting through on our honeymoon. The hotel is in a great location in old Munich. The breakfast spread was the best we saw on our honeymoon. The rooms were clean, the top floor sauna and fitness area were nice to enjoy. The concierge referred us to a great tour called Mike's Bike Tour. The staff was quick to respond to questions and needs. If we are ever in Munich again, we'll be glad to stay here.

This hotel was great! A bit expensive though for what we went through with the room. It was very clean which is my main point when looking for a place to stay. The room and hotel were beautiful and the staff were excellent! Room service did a great job cleaning and the desk staff were so kind and helpful with our weird tourist questions! Now, the only complaint I have is our sleep situation. The bed was so comfortable but although the hotel claimed to have AC, it was not working or not enough. Our room was HOT making it hard to sleep. So, during the night we’d open the windows for some air, to our dismay every night till about 2:30 AM there were a ton of screaming drunk people outside. We were right outside the Hofbrauhaus. So not the best sleep, but everything else was great! I wouldn’t recommend during the summer months unless you are OK sleeping in the heat.
