Pretty solid family resort for on-the-beach location. 1 hr drive from LIR. They can transport via a 3rd party company. $100 cash. $113 card. Pool is excellent. Get the all-inclusive If you’re a pool lizard…get breakfast-only if you like to tour and eat on the town. Store is pricey so get your souvenirs elsewhere—bug spray was $35. The game room has two nice pool tables and two ping pong tables which was sufficient. The cinema was not being used so that was kind of weak. The staff in the kids are were hard to locate as they were always on their phone. The restaurant staff was superb. They were polite with young unruly children And caring about the family experience. Pool bar is great for swim up burgers and nachos and the wait staff carries the rating for this place. Ask the staff to put a canopy and chairs on the beach or you’ll regret it…the sun is equatorial! Take the 3 hr boat tour…dolphins, breakfast, snorkeling, fishing were highlights.Great place and very safe for the family.
This hotel is well located with direct access to a very beautiful beach. The room (we are 4, 2 adults 2 kids) was smaller than we expected, but still ok. The staff is very friendly and breakfast was good too! We didn’t eat any other meal at the hotel One down side, the play the same music all day long, that was tiring. For the rest, beautiful beach to go!
We didn’t stay overnight at Margaritaville Resort, but decided to stop in for breakfast while in Playa Flamingo. The setting is beautiful—it’s right on the beach, so the atmosphere definitely feels relaxing and resort-like. They offer two breakfast options: a typical buffet or ordering à la carte from the menu. We opted for the menu and ordered one breakfast plate and one juice. The food was okay—fresh enough but nothing that really stood out. For the portion size and quality, it wasn’t especially memorable. The bill came to about $30, which seemed high for just one plate and one drink. On top of that, there’s a mandatory 10% charge they collect, plus an “expected” tip. While I understand the beachfront location comes with higher prices, it still felt a bit steep for what we got. Overall, it’s a convenient and scenic place to have breakfast if you’re already nearby and want that resort ambiance, but for the same price (or less), you can find heartier and more flavorful breakfasts at local spots just outside the resort.
