Playa Los Arcos Hotel Beach Resort & Spa

I went to Playa Los Arcos, for my Birthday 🎂 I had a wonderful time. They decorated my room, the service was great and everyone was so friendly. The pool area and all the beautiful flowers adorning the balconies were so pretty to look at. I was in room 105 I had a room with a stunning view of the ocean and the stunning sunsets. The food was delicious and the fruit and juices were fresh and ripe. It was my first time in Puerto Vallarta, if I visit again I will definitely stay at Playa Los Arcos. Thank you for treating me so kind. ❤️

Playa los Arcos was a great place to spend a few nights and get some sunshine! The staff are friendly, organized and there for whatever you need. Damien and Alfredo at the front counter, and Ricardo in the restaurant took amazing care of me and my friend during our stay. We got the all-inclusive package and appreciated how easy it was to just relax and have everything taken care of so we could snack, drink and lay around! A couple of things to note - this is not a private beach, so a lot of vendors do come by along the pathway and beach. It can get old. You are also in the middle of a busy block, so we heard some construction and music nearby. Room amenities were a little basic, so bring your own shampoo/conditioner if you prefer better quality. I personally don't care about these things much, but if you like absolute quiet and privacy this place might not be for you. That all said, we felt very safe in the area despite being busy.

Room 428 — Nightmare Mornings, Bugs in the Closet, but Great Food & Kind Manager First, let me say: I am not the kind of person who usually writes hotel reviews. But if I do leave one, I always prefer to be completely honest — because thousands of people read these reviews when choosing a hotel, and they deserve true, accurate information. My friend and I were staying together in Room 428 for 10 nights. (For the record, my friend still left a 5-star review despite all the issues — which, in my opinion, is not very honest.) Here is what happened: As I wrote in my first review: every single morning — from 5 or 6 AM — we were woken up by terrible noise from the ceiling. There is a woman at the hotel who keeps an eagle for tourist photos. But at night, the poor bird was locked in a small room right above our heads. The sound of it pacing and scratching the floor was unbearable — it felt like a large rat was crawling on the ceiling. We could not sleep past 5-6 AM any morning. I recorded a video to show this. After I emailed management, they called my father (who had booked the room) to offer a room change. But this happened too late — just 2 days before the end of our trip — and it was too much trouble to pack and move for only one night. One positive thing I must mention: the manager Martha was very kind and polite. She kindly allowed me to do a late check-out, because my flight was in the evening. Thank you Martha for this! Sadly, she also told me the eagle had been moved and that the noise would stop — but this was not true, because I still heard the scratching and recorded it again on the last day. The worst part came on the last night: while packing my clothes in the closet, I discovered many small bugs (tiny cockroach or termite-like insects) between my hanging clothes. It was extremely stressful, because I was afraid I might take these bugs home with me to Toronto. I will attach a photo here so everyone can see. Overall, my experience was this: ✅ The food at the hotel was AMAZING — really excellent ✅ The manager Martha was very kind and helpful BUT: ❌ I did not have a single peaceful morning — I couldn’t sleep even one day until 9 AM ❌ The noise from the ceiling was horrible — for 10 nights! ❌ The response from management was too late to fix the problem ❌ Finding bugs in my clothes at the end of the trip was shocking and unacceptable I paid a lot of money for this trip and took a 6-hour flight hoping to relax — but I couldn’t even enjoy one full morning of rest at this hotel. For this reason, I will not return to this hotel in the future — and this 1-star review is only thanks to the good food.
