Playa Suites Acapulco

Just back from a weeks vacation at this hotel and it exceeded expectations. Large ocean view rooms, delicious food and great staff made for a very memorable time. Special shout out to Victor at the bar and Reyna the tortilla chef, such a pleasure to deal with! Catering to a mostly national clientele made it an even more authentic cultural experience.

As almost all the reviews in here; you get what you've payed for. The place is old and falling in pieces. Rooms are full of space buy poorly decorated, it feels like a road hotel, people are mostly not very friendly with some exceptions. Breakfast are great buy meals and dinners are mostly bad. Poor quality drinks. It's cheap and that attracts some disgusting guests. I wouldn't come back in 10,000 lives.

Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in! We rented a room for 5 people like any other hotel we’ve ever stayed in, when we got there it took more than an hr to check in and my husband was told he had to pay for three extra people even though the room has 2 double beds and a sofa with a trundle bed! When we get to the first room there was not a sofa bed so they sent us to another room and that one didn’t have AC, so the third room was it. To top it off this room was really run down and filthy. Late night we noticed that there were no extra pillows or blankets for the trundle bed so we called front desk and they said they didn’t have any so my husband made a sweater pillow and used a towel that was not big enough to cover him. The second night we went to the front desk and the same rude employee that checked us in was there and I asked again for a blanket and a pillow and he immediately said we don’t have any, so I said “ we paid for an extra person Im sure you can grab one from an empty room” magically they came later with the goods. On the third day we finally got a bath mat! Because I asked for a broom to pick up sand, the maid came with a towel to clean the floor. Mind you, the same towels they use for guests. And was clearly annoyed that I needed a broom. We had a horrible disgusting experience, the service, the room and lack of action in the part of the managerial staff was absolutely horrible. Please look at the pictures and video and judge for yourself, they charge for everything and have all this stupid little rules they want you to follow while their service is leaving much to be desired.
