We stayed here for 4 nights while attending a box cup in Dublin with our boxing club. There was 17 of us and we couldn’t have been accommodated any more. Travelling with a group of kids can be challenging, especially when in a big hotel if rooms aren’t close to each other however reception were very accommodating and made sure our rooms were all close together. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant and bar were also nice. Breakfast was amazing and very delicious! Rooms were clean and modern. We will hopefully be back soon as we travel to Dublin a few times a year for boxing.
I can’t say enough great things about Mike the Manager of the Plaza. He was attentive, present and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We had a great experience during our 5 night stay. Great location, we walked everywhere. Great food and drinks in the hotel. We almost didn’t want to go off site for meals. Highly recommend this place!
Just went for food in the cafe bar. Left a lot to be desired. I don't like to complain but the food was no good. Thai green curry was watery goop; too much curry paste and used water instead of coconut milk. Rice was overcooked. Also, I paid 5 euros for added chicken and got less than 1/2 a breast of chicken. Very cheap way to do it and possibly the worst green curry I've ever had. I went for the cheese cake special to get something tasty, but that was 5/10. Just didn't have a baileys cheesecake taste. Was slightly sour. It looked quite nice and kinda like a lemon cheesecake as well, which was odd but definitely had a slight cheap liquor taste. Definitely cheapening out of ingredients here. It is not a way to sustain a good restaurant. I hope the manager sees this and makes some changes to improve quality and let the chef create a nicer ingredient led version of the menu. Happy to come back only if I get a reply to his extent. Ps. Staff were lovely. No issues there.
