Plaza Inn Wien Gasometer

We came yesterday evening, checked in went to the room but it smelled awful, we then immediately got a new room apparently some problem with the plumbing. Very friendly staff members that took our complaint seriously and agreed had to change. The new room was fine just it got kind of hot 🥵 and didn’t understand how to put the air conditioning on properly. Otherwise all was fine.

Really nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a family room, lots of space. A double bed and two single bends in a separate room, very convenient. AC that actually works. It's a bit from the city center, but located between the city and the airport. Even if the location is not central, the U-Bahn is just a few hundred meters away. There is also a small shopping center close by. Small but good breakfast buffé. Strongly recommended.

In the south-eastern suburb of Simmering you can find the modern Plaza Inn Wien Gasometer. I recently stayed here for three nights in one of their classic double rooms. My simply furnished, but spacious and clean room had two comfortable single beds joined together, a large safe, coffee and tea making facilities (although coffee and tea were not refilled) and plenty of sockets for charging electronic devices. The individual air conditioning worked very well, as did the secure Wi-Fi connection. My room 427 also had a spacious and separate bathroom, unfortunately with a very disappointing shower. This disappointment was due to the fact that the shower was a much too small hand shower. Also, slippers would have been appreciated due to the cold floor. The staff are friendly and multilingual and in the mornings guests can take advantage of the extensive and varied breakfast buffet. Finally, it should be noted that this hotel is several kilometres away from the tourist centre of Vienna. However, the U3 underground line is close by (Gasometer stop) and will take you to St Stephen's Cathedral and other sights in ten minutes. This makes the Plaza Inn Wien Gasometer an interesting and budget-friendly option for travellers looking for a comfortable yet quiet hotel with excellent value for money.
