I really enjoyed my stay at the Plaza Resort Hotel in Greece. The location is fantastic—right by the beach, which is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The water sports were a highlight for us; we could easily charge activities to our room and try out different fun options. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and I would recommend this property to others looking for a pleasant beach getaway. Beware, book your taxi early get their WhatsApp and write them messages to confirm pick up times etc getting a taxi was a real challenge. Booking one was nearly impossible, and the wait times were frustrating. It didn’t help that taxis would often be taken by other guests at the main exit before they even reached the designated pickup area. Despite these issues, I would still recommend the hotel, especially for its excellent beach and the convenience of charging activities to your room. It’s a really good place for a relaxing holiday.
I had a rooms blocked off for my wedding in July and I cannot say how much I love this resort. From the bellhop Giorgio, to the event coordinator Vanna, I am so pleased with everyone. The rooms are clean, the lobby is spotless, the buffet for breakfast has unlimited amounts of food, and the location is within walking distance to various restaurants and bakeries. This truly is my favorite place to stay at when I am in Athens and I cannot recommend this resort enough to people. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so accommodating and we cannot wait to be back!
As an assistant coach traveling with our team from Abu Dhabi, I feel the need to speak up about our experience at the Plaza Hotel during the Neon Cup. While the city of Athens was beautiful and the hotel staff were polite, the overall treatment we received was far from what you’d expect at a five-star hotel. There were constant complaints about the kids simply being kids, which made the atmosphere tense. At checkout, we were shocked by unexpected charges — including €250 deposit we were never informed about, and even €20–30 for used towels and bathroom sheets that were simply dirty after regular use. But what truly shocked us was when the manager told us we were no longer welcome at the hotel. That level of response is completely unacceptable and unprofessional for a place that claims to be five-star. We came from the UAE, where hospitality is held to the highest standard — and unfortunately, this experience was nowhere near that level.
