It's only a 4-star from us. We stayed in a mobile home, which is a luxury tiny house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms - all of that was good, but the beds were like sleeping on concrete. Which was a shame. The pool and it's surroundings were a clear 5-star, and super cool with a pool bar. The cocktails I would give 3 of 5 stars (based on the world renowned Pinã Colada Index 😉). The pools were perfect after a good walk in the nearby Plitvice Nationalpark. I can absolutely recommend this resort, I just wish they would put in better beds.
Overall, I found this place to be pretty overpriced for what it offers. The gym was funny — unless you just want to hang from a bar, there’s not much you can actually use. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food was just okay, nothing special. The pool is lovely for relaxing, but not really great for swimming — they close it at 8 PM. What really bothered me, though, was the extra €20 per night charge for bringing a dog. That felt excessive. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and we had a nice enough time overall. But I’d probably choose a different place next time.
We booked for three nights but only stayed for two. We had one of the camping homes directly next to the pools, seemed nice for our kids. When we checked in there was very loud, terrible, house/techno music at the pool. To our surprise, since nothing was mentioned on the website. We asked the reception if this loud music was normal, they said it was. Every day from 14.00 to 20.30 they play loud music at the pool. Horrible. If we wanted to party we would have gone to Ibiza. Luckily the women at the reception was kind enough to check their website if I was correct in mentioning it did not mention on the website that staying in the houses next to the pool would ruin a nice stay. It indeed wasn't mentioned, but she told me nothing could be done about it. So. Instead of staying three nights we shortened our stay to two. We didn't come to Plitvice for disco. So be aware if you book one of the pool houses. Of course people might like the loud music, in that case this could suit your needs. It didn't for us.
