Loved our tent lodge! The farm is absolutely beautiful. The beds are super comfy and the place is very family friendly. We really liked that the tent got cleaned once during our stay. There were just two things: - The kitchen really needs another sharp knife. There is only one. So you can not prepare a meal together. - You have to drive your trash to Polveraia. Anna told us to use the cemetary's trash cans which, to be honest, felt kind of illegal. 😃 It would have been nice if there were trash cans at the site.
Unfortunately, our stay at Podere Prataccio did not meet expectations. While the property itself has potential (hence the two stars), we were very disappointed by the attitude of the hosts, who were unwelcoming and, at times, openly rude. In any case, we focused on other things and had a great time in the region: some beautiful sites and vineyards to visit , and amazing restaurants. Hospitality is a core part of any stay, and in the case of these hosts, it was sorely lacking. Future guests should be aware of several important details that are not made fully clear in advance: – The swimming pool closes entirely at 6:30PM, which is quite limits its usability during summer evenings. – Internet access (both wifi and 4G) is not available at all in the tents – Accommodations are smaller than described on the website.
