I last visited in October 2023, so this review reflects an earlier experience. The hotel reception provides a warm welcome, and you have the option to leave their luggage if heading out on a multi-day trek. The rooms are clean and well-equipped with amenities. The balcony, attached to the bedroom, offers a pleasant spot to relax, and it’s worth asking about booking a lake-facing room for a better view.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Pokhara Batika in Pokhara! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my entire stay. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The views from my room were breathtaking, offering stunning vistas of the Annapurna range. The hotel's amenities were also top-notch, and a beautiful room overlooking the lake. The dining options were exceptional, with a variety of delicious and high-quality dishes available. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide array of local and international options. Overall, my experience at Hotel Pokhara Batika was truly unforgettable, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Pokhara."
The cleanliness is above average for Nepalese standards. The location is perfect. However I can’t recommend this place. We initially booked a twin toom but decided to book two rooms and an additional night on arrival instead - hence bringing more than double the revenue. Miss Susimita from reception however seemed to be very annoyed by this and continued her arrogant attitude throughout the stay, being in personal phone calls with her airpods at the reception constantly. Laundry service is ridiculously overpriced (paid over 20€ for a few things) and they ruined my whites by not separating them from darker pieces. Do I really need to tell adults to color separate?! Breakfast is good on a busy day. When they don’t have many guests, they don’t bother with breakfast either. Barely any selection. We paid our total for both rooms the night before checkout and Miss Susimita said we were clear. The next morning they said one room wasn‘t paid for and made us pay again, summing up to a total we couldn’t make sense of. Poor communication between staff and sketchy behavior. I stayed in much cheaper lodges and hotels in Nepal and the service, attitude and hospitality were far better.
