I cannot express how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff at the Pont Levis hotel are. Emmanuel and his team went above and beyond to assist our motorcycle tour group; including providing his own suitcase to someone who had to leave the tour early. I think this may be the friendliest place in France I've been to. They helped my husband and I ship some extra motorcycle helmets and airbags home mid trip as well, as no postal office in the area would take any large parcel to ship Just steps from the castle in Carcassone, a great pool for cooling off, and a nice spread for breakfast. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works really well in the rooms, and its a great place to relax after a day walking the castle and eating delicious cassoulet.

Perfect location close to the gates of the walled city. Easy parking once the system is explained. Enter the public car park gates at the front of hotel, park and walk to reception where the correct tickets can be obtained for parking. 15€ per night charge. Rooms are immaculate and have a small fridge and pod coffee machine. Decor is excellent and has deck access to most rooms. Good if you smoke, not if you don’t. Reception was efficient and polite. Note the bath had a hand held shower with no facility for hands free use. The drinks and breakfast are overpriced and underwhelming when there are bars and cafes just inside the walls. Definitely worth the stay except for the shower
