Ponta Mar Hotel

We arrived at this hotel on Monday September 13-2021. The location is excellent. 🤣 The hotel structure is very good , pool area is nice 👍 The rooms were spacious but required some renovations. This hotel doesn’t not offer 24 hr room service. I went down to reception and request a coffee ☕️ at 0400 hrs . I was told that coffee is served at 0700 hrs . I then asked if they knew where I could get a coffee from at this hour. They replied no they don’t know. I went out for my morning walk and walked two blocks from the hotel and found a gas station which had coffee. The breakfast has a large variety and they also offer omelettes. 👍They have indoor and outdoor seating. 👍 The prices for the rooms are reasonable for this area. This hotel has security at the entrance which is great 👍 There is also a outdoor seating area for guests who smoke.👍

Rooms are pleasant, but the bathroom had mold on the toilet button and the water pressure in the sink was awful. The mold was really disgusting. Hot water was only available on occasion. I am a Canadian felt that the group I came with were being disrespected at Check-in. The morning staff seemed rude, while the night staff seemed pleasant. Pool was nice, jacuzzi was not working while I stayed. Breakfast was nice but repetitive. Some positives, many negatives.

Crazy hotel, they didn't provide us the cost of the laundry. To wash 6 pair of socks they asked us 30€. This incredible: we spent 800reals (180€) to wash the quantity of 1 full washing machine. No words. Literally. I've been i 5 stars hotel where the cost was 1/3 of this. Also to notice that elevator is often super full and you have to wait 5minutes just to take it. If you can go to another hotel, go, this one is a scam.
