Ponte Vecchio Suites & Spa

We recently spent 5 nights at the Hotel Ponte Vecchio Suites and Spa in Florence, in an Executive Suite. We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is beautiful, in a great location in the Oltrarno, away from the biggest crowds but only a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio. The staff were very helpful and we really enjoyed our room. We appreciated that this suite had a free standing shower and which is more accessible than a tub/shower combination which you often see in Italy. They also provided a nonslip bathmat. We also liked the large closet and comfortable furniture. The breakfasts were excellent. Our only nitpicks were small: the elevator required you to continuously press the button for it to move. As well, the kitchenette had a very tiny garbage can and wasn't really functional beyond making tea. Also, I would have prefer a more solid door for the bathroom (it was frosted glass.) We likely recommend this hotel.

This was not my first stay at this hotel nor will it be my last. This is my favorite hotel of all hotels. I have never encountered a more caring staff, a staff that is willing to assist in every way possible. The location, the rooms and the very personalized service sets this hotel apart from all the others. If i'm ever traveling to Italy I without doubt will stop in Florence and most certainly make reservations at this very special hotel. Did I already say that this is my favorite hotel...

We chose this hotel after we stayed in the city center. The city center is loud with people partying all hours of the night. Thus, we went on the other side of the river and found the Ponte Vecchio hotel. The staff here is amazing. When they say the have soundproof facility, they were not lying. It is very quiet. The beds are comfortable and the shower and bathtub had great water pressure. We were very happy we chose to stay here and will return when we go back to Florence.
