Just an hour flight from MALTA we found a jewel in the middle of CALABRIA the cleanliness friendly staff the food the environment the sense of nature the vast rang of fruit trees the rooms were perfect those who run the Popilia Country Resort should be very proud if you are looking for a relaxing place or you want to take a break from this chaotic life POPILIA COUNTRY RESORT is the place
Beautiful hotel, the pool was so good, breakfast and dinner where perfect, the room was cool The location is a bit out the way from pizzo but easy enough to get to with transport, I'd recommend a scooter
Popilia Resort is a truly beautiful place – well-maintained, clean, with very friendly staff, spacious apartments, and great food and facilities. The drive to the coast wasn’t too bad; by the second day, we got used to it and everything was fine. However, what was truly unacceptable is that a 4-star hotel would allow fireworks to be set off at midnight right in front of a room where a child and a small, easily frightened dog were sleeping – without any prior notice. We’re coming from the Netherlands, where fireworks are only allowed on New Year’s Eve, so this was really shocking for us. Loud explosive fireworks for 30–40 minutes and extremely loud music by the pool until 1 AM are simply unacceptable. We didn’t receive any notice, warning, or apology, nor was this mentioned anywhere in advance. I’m truly sorry that this experience traumatized both our child and our dog, and unfortunately left a bitter taste after what had been a lovely 9-day stay.
