Porcel Avant

I stayed with my wife for 1 night on our group tour. The hotel is far from city centre so we cannot walk around after our tour. The staff however are very efficient and friendly. They keep smilling despite serving more than 30 of us in the group. We had buffet dinner at the hotel and the food is very delicious.

The hotel is located in a strange location in an industrial area with little to do if you leave the hotel. Good if working in the area but not for tourists. The pool was closed until summer but was looking very dirty after the winter. The breakfast was OK the same but the same every day. The rooms were clean and modern with a kettle and coffee. Complimentary water would be nice and available every day. They charged 2 euros for a small bottle. My sleep was spoilt by noise from men staying in the next room drinking until the early hours. Not the hotels fault. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel is nice but welcoming is less than pleasant. I think it might be a Madrid custom. At dinner I requested two cokes which the waitress said were not free. I said no problem and I would pay with my credit card. Well she she never showed up.. Next morning, my wife was ill in the morning and I just wanted a piece of bread to give her coffee in her room. I was stopped and made to return it.what is even worse is that there is not a store near by to purchase anything. Will definitely not return to this less than friendly hotel chain.
