We had a very enjoyable holiday. The staff is attentive and smiling. We liked the food. It is very clean and hygiene is taken into consideration. The rooms are clean and spacious. The animation activities during the day are very entertaining. There is also a children's club for children, the animator there is very attentive and smiling, and the children go to the children's disco in the evening with interest. (Mickey Mouse, you attract a lot of attention, we love you). The evening shows and terrace music are very nice . We will come again.

Summary: • Hotel is modern and well-located with great transport links • Beach shuttle and local bus are convenient and cheap • Excursions were fun and good value for money • Rooms had minor issues, some poor housekeeping experiences • Pool music was extremely loud and sunbeds limited • Evening entertainment was underwhelming and nightclub closed ⸻ 🌴 Location & Transport The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the beach, which takes just a few minutes. While it’s only a 5-minute walk, the shuttle is a lifesaver in the heat — especially for families with small children or elderly guests. There’s also a local bus to Side every 5 minutes for just €1.50 — great if you want to explore beyond the hotel. ⸻ 🚤 Excursions We went on two brilliant trips: the Pirate Boat tour and Green Canyon. Both were very reasonably priced (around €30–€40 per person), included food and drink, and had plenty of fun things to do. They each lasted pretty much all day and were absolutely worth booking through the hotel. ⸻ 🛏 Room & Housekeeping The hotel rooms look lovely at first glance, but we experienced a few maintenance issues: • Shower head holder was broken • Balcony door was faulty (though it was fixed quickly) • Shower temperature was very inconsistent Housekeeping was hit and miss. One day they: • Left our balcony door wide open • Took some small change that had been tucked away and wasn’t meant as a tip (possibly a misunderstanding) • Took our spa towels, which meant we couldn’t exchange them — this shouldn’t happen as you need to return them to get fresh ones ⸻ 🎶 Pool & Entertainment The music at the pool was extremely loud — and I’m 21, so I usually enjoy a lively atmosphere. This felt excessive, and we ended up avoiding the pool for most of the holiday and spending time at the beach instead, which was much calmer. There were also not enough sunbeds at the pool, and too few chairs in the evening entertainment area, which made it hard to relax comfortably. Evening entertainment was limited to: • A mini disco • One main show • A short “disco” until 11pm The advertised nightclub was never open, which we found frustrating. We were really hoping for more variety and liveliness in the evenings. ⸻ 🍕 Highlights • Private beach had a great all-inclusive snack bar • Beautiful hotel grounds and lobby • Good value excursions and easy access to nearby

Port River Hotel & Spa – Never Again! First impression was good… until we reached the reception. Staff were unfriendly, no greeting, no basic information – just handed the room cards and “figure it out yourself.” Only one power card in the room, meaning no air conditioning when you leave, and asking for a second card was treated like a huge problem. Pool area messy, broken umbrellas, hotel in the middle of nowhere. Full of drunk guests, loud and unpleasant atmosphere – definitely not for families with children. Food is repetitive, mini disco lasts only 30 minutes, then the kids are rushed off so shows for adults can start. The only positives? The cleaning ladies and the kids’ club animator. Everything else – not worth the money or stress.
