Port William Inn

Stopped for dinner and breakfast on different days while staying in the area. Was fantastic both times, and the view is always incredible. Will be back when next in Cornwall!

We visit the Port William Inn every time we visit this area of Cornwall. The service is always excellent and Mary is always obliging and friendly. It is such a well run pub and the food never disappoints. The location overlooking the sea is breathtaking. It really is our favourite pub.

Not really impressed with the quality of The Port William. I visited for an evening to support the musicians playing, only to be greeted as I entered the restaurant and bar area with a potent fungal smell that filled the entire room. I sat on the leather sofa and was greeted with another potent scent of musty unwashed cushions. To add on top of this the group of us were planning to have dinner here as we watched the music but were refused food as we didn’t have a table booked. And the cherry on top is that I went home, not only hungry but covered in what I can only assume were mites. Was itching all over until I had to have a very hot shower to wash them off. Really disgusted to be honest, the place should be fumigated and cleaned thoroughly, definitely not a place to be serving food. Good points: - Music was fantastic - Highly recommend the Deluxe Hot Chocolate - Toilets were nice and sanitary and smelt a lot cleaner than the rest of the building.
