Great spot to stop where travelling west. Great varied menu with gluten free and vegan options! Lots of inside and outside seating, great vibe- excellent wine list. Portion sizes large! And tasty food! Service was top notch. Was always attended to by staff. Couldn’t fault them. And was given a takeaway box for my dinner to eat tomorrow :) they took it away and packed it for me. Such polite and attentive staff. Will be back!!! (Can’t comment on rooms as didn’t stay)
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Porters Hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations in every way! From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. The room itself was beautifully appointed, featuring modern amenities and a cozy charm that made it a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. I especially loved the comfortable bed and the stunning view from my window; it was the perfect backdrop for relaxing evenings. The hotel’s location was ideal, conveniently situated near popular attractions and local dining options. I appreciated how easy it was to get around and discover the best of the area. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. It was such a treat to start the day with a variety of tasty options, all beautifully presented. Overall, my experience at Porters Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and welcoming place to stay. I can’t wait to return! Ordered Medium-Rare Lunch Rump Steak with two fried Eggs - I was really happy to see that as an option on the menu. The steak was actually really good! Mushroom sauce wasn't the best unfortunately. I sat outside on the deck in the Sunshine and it was lovely. The young man (Tuesday 1st July) who seated me etc was really attentive.
