The best Greek food we've ever had! You'll need a car as it is remote but you won't regret going. If the spectacular views and short walk to a small idyllic private beach aren't enough, you should visit Porto Mani Suites just for food! Felt like one of the family after six nights there.

The room view was perfect, peaceful and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The location of the hotel is relatively remote from the central points, which means that you only get around by car. There is a very beautiful beach that is accessed via a passable but relatively tiring path and you ideally need beach shoes to enter. The breakfast was delicious with homemade food and Mrs. Stavroula was welcoming and kind. There were some things that made us unhappy during our vacation. The hotel accepts animals upon request and we had informed that we have a 1.5 kg Chihuahua toy dog. Our arrival was unpleasant and awkward, because, as soon as we arrived tired from the journey, the hotelier pointed out to us, with relative rudeness (!), that it is forbidden for the dog to be on the sheets, because if he saw even one strand of hair of the dog he would be forced to throw the sheets away (?!) in case the next visitor gets an allergy. Then added, with unjustified suspicion (!), that we shall not think we could fool him because he would understand. I wondered why that would be an issue, since when you clean the room for the next guest you have to leave no traces of the previous one. This behavior bothered me because when you say that you accept animals (pet friendly), you are aware of the possibility that the animal might leave some hair. Even if we do not let the dog on the bed, dog hair is also transferred from our clothes. You could just not accept pets if you are incapable of cleaning the sheets.. After all this reproval, I expected that in terms of cleanliness they would be very consistent. However, upon entering the room I found a face towel with a large brown stain (guess he did not throw that one away..), which I returned, and the curtains were full of dust. While we were there we had allergies and were sneezing all the time. Although it is stated that there is daily housekeeping, both of our rooms had been cleaned only once during the 4 days we stayed. Rooms in general definitely need a renovation (e.g. screens, knobs, painting of the walls, awning) and external lighting at night since when we came back late from our night out, the lights were turned off and we needed a flashlight to walk to our room. In the room-fridge there were 2 bottles of water (500ml) for which there was no information there was extra charge. When we checked out they informed us that we owe 30 euros, 24 euros for taxes and 6 euros for the 6 bottles of water. When we went to pay by card, the receptionist, that was insolent and had bad manners, refused because she said she didn't know how to use the POS (?!) and she was hesitant about bank transfer...Therefore, we had to pay in cash, which luckily we happened to have on us, as the nearest ATM is 60 km away (come and go to Areopolis)! She informed us that she will send us the receipt via email, which included only the 24 euros for the taxes.. The only pleasant things of the whole experience, were the kindness of Mrs. Stavroula at breakfast and the wonderful view and sea. This evaluation is made because the customer and hotel services are not at all consistent with a 4-star hotel!
