Porto Palácio Hotel by The Editory

Our stay was incredible from start to finish. The staff were truly next-level — kind, helpful, and full of thoughtful surprises (including a delicious chocolate cake in our room for my birthday!). The rooftop terrace was a highlight — perfect for unwinding or meeting fellow travelers over a drink. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with fresh options and some of the best orange juice I’ve ever had. The location is super convenient, with easy metro access and quick Bolt/Uber rides to the historic center. Can’t say enough about how amazing the staff made our experience. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel with helpful and pleasant staff. The spa is quite good. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice of food. Evening meal choice was limited. Rooftop bar is pleasant and relaxing although fairly expensive. It is a quite far from the metro, maybe 12 to 15 minutes walk but it is on a bus route. Not sure it deserves 5 stars but certainly 4. Overall a good hotel which I would book again.

This hotel is good if you want to be away from the center of town but if not, you are 15-20 minutes from most things. Our room had barely working AC in the heat of August, and overall this should be a 4 star hotel at best. The staff works hard but this wasn’t a great experience.
