I cannot speak highly enough for how NICE and helpful the hotel manager and their staff is. We made a mistake in our booking and booked the wrong date (a day after) and she took the time to help us solve our problem in the BEST way. We were so grateful and on top of that we got such a beautiful suite!!! With a private entrance and private balcony with beautiful view. It worked out perfectly and was the best way to end up our trip to Italy. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. Totally recommended.
What a gorgeous stay we had at Porto Romano! We decided to stay here the night before a long flight back to Australia, and after a long, very hot day of travel from Arezzo to Rome from the moment we stepped into the air conditioned reception it was fabulous. We were travelling with a toddler and arrived an hour before check in, but the super friendly Jessica greeted us and said our room was ready for us as they knew we were travelling with a young family. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious, even with the portacot set up there was plenty of room. Balcony was huge and had a lovely view over the pool and the Tiber. Spent time in the pool and lounging, it was so relaxing. Because there’s so few rooms it feel so quiet and private. The kiosk/hutt was open until 8pm for drinks and food by the pool, I ordered a Pinsa (Roman Pizza) and was just expecting some reheated frozen thing, but what came out was a fresh, hot and absolutely delicious pinsa, I couldn’t believe how good it was. Nice seating by the river too if you want a different view to the pool. They were also super helpful and provided us milk for our baby’s bottle. Comfortable beds and great air conditioning, and one of the largest showers I’ve ever seen. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. Would absolutely stay here again before or after a flight into Rome.
A short distance away from Fiumicino - FCO airport for Rome visitors. From the resort, in order to get to Rome, one has to take Uber (about 30 minutes) or train (about 1 hour) - if taking train, one has to arrange with the resort for paid shuttle to train station. Therefore, a group of 4 people would be better off to take Uber. The only reason for us to stay at this location is to catch a 5-am flight out of FCO. Friendly staffs, good services. Room is clean. During the stay, we spent most of the time in the city, and returned late in the night to rest. Uber can pickup and drop off from this resort.
