This was an incredible experience From the warm and inviting welcome by the staff it only got better by the hour! Nilüfer, the charming manager of Portofino, through her genuine kindness and attention to detail, heightened every aspect of our stay. Gözel, the chef and housekeeper, was simply outstanding. Her tasty homemade jams and traditional Turkish breakfast was absolutely huge and luscious! (Even after great dinners out, we looked forward with anticipation to our morning meals)Umit and Murat, 2 fantastic gentlemen on staff, were always available for assistance and did so many things for us beyond our requests. My husband and I have been traveling throughout Europe for the better part of 2 years (post retirement)and have developed an understanding of the hospitality culture and we have high expectations. This is a petite boutique hotel in a lovely garden setting with a pristine pool and wonderful food . If you are looking for an unforgettable travel experience with a host who truly cares about your comfort and enjoyment, do not hesitate to choose this place. It has undoubtedly set a new standard in Urla. Our first choice. One of the loveliest places in our travels. We are so grateful for these memories and left feeling so special!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Portofino Urla Boutique Hotel, and let me tell you—it’s like stepping into a little corner of Italy right here in Urla! 🇮🇹 Nilufer, the manager, deserves a standing ovation. She’s warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about her guests. And her team are like old friends. They made my stay memorable. 👏
We were looking for a hotel out of Urla center so we stumbled upon Portofino Hotel which had amazing reviews. From our perspective, it was mediocre and disappointing for the price point. At 180 euros a night, we were expecting higher attention to detail than the Portofino hotel offered. The shower didn't drain, the door to our room had a large gap at the bottom resulting in a noisy room, and from our room we could hear staff and other guests very clearly. The best part was definitely the breakfast the next day.
