Poseidon hotel is a classical hotel at a convenient location in Imperatriz close to 2 hospitals: Santa Monica and Sao Rafael in the middle of busy city blocks with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and traditional brick and mortal stores. The room we stayed in is clean, spacious with a king bed the combination of which may be hard to find in Imperatriz. The interior design of the hotel room with a cedar cabinet makes you think you live in the 70’s. We had a great overall experience here as a family thanks also to my in-laws for booking a room for us.
Be careful. We were quoted one price when we reserved on the phone, but were charged significantly more when we checked out. The hotel is very run-down and old. The breakfast was not very good. The room smelled musty, the carpets were very worn. The place almost looks abandoned. One star though: the mattress was very comfortable!
