Brilliant hotel. One of my favourites I’ve stayed at recently. Authentic and plenty of character. The service was great and the staff know you by name. The restaurant is top notch and the menu portions are massive. I enjoyed a relaxing 2 day stay in 2 different rooms. I would recommend staying in the main hotel with the balconies if you like traditional style! Will definitely return! Thanks
This is a very pleasant hotel to stay at. Having been built in the 60s, still has what feels like some original decor, but has been maintained and is very clean inside. The outside pool area is nice, although the pool itself was far too cool to go in unfortunately, the sea was however, much warmer! There are some area on the outside of the property such as the sun lounging platform and a tennis court that have not been maintained and have gone to waste. Access to these would have improved our stay. Regarding vegan options, there was a delightful vegetable soup and a very nice quinoa dish. There were also some vegan bar snacks, however, we did not have time to sample these. The mojitos there are not served as long drinks, however they are still delicious. The persons who work at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful, and professional. I will say, if you are one to walk to other restaurants etc. in the evenings after having a drink, bare in mind that this hotel is greater than walking distance from most places. We were able to bet a taxi or uber on these occasions. If you are looking for relaxation, there are plenty of areas to do so at the hotel. Make sure you sunbathe in the mornings, as the winds can get high in the afternoons. Overall, I would re-visit this hotel and probably pay the additional cost to enjoy one of the rooms with a panoramic view, to make the most out of the stunning views this hotel provides.
The hotel is in an amazing, although remote, location. You have to drive to any restaurant other than the hotel and to any attractions in the area. The staff is lovely and works very hard to please the guests. But the facility, public outdoor spaces and the beach are a bit neglected. The decks had not been swept in a long time and the beach was full of trash.
