July 2025. We have just returned after 9 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment ( room 317 ) room only holiday. We left feeling absolutely gutted and extremely disappointed from the whole experience. Our apartment was infested with ants and cockroaches. Brought this to the attention of the front desk and all they said was we have the same problem here in reception. I ended up buying powder, spray and traps to resolve the issue. The kitchen area was very poor with rusty handles, broken hob and presses falling apart. Bins were only changed after 3 days and in the heat really started to stink. The bathroom flooring is lifting, found mold on the tiles and rusted shampoo holder. The shower is in the bath and very slippery. Quite dangerous for my mother with no handle to hang onto and she couldn't reach or turn the head in the shower because it is was too high and not adjustable in height. The bedrooms were a disaster, couldn't sleep on a few nights due to a wild and out of control party's coming from the private villas which backed onto the apartments down our end of the hotel. The windows are single glazed and seemed as if they were open with the noise coming through. The apartment 317 is also near the roundabout and main road and on two nights, we had joyriders flying up and down the roads at around 3/4am which was unfortunate. The balcony was tiny with only two very old deck chairs and overlooked a shabby roof which was once part of the steam rooms below which don't exist anymore. The pool area was a disgrace with slime floating in the water and green algae all over the tiles around the pool. On checkout we somehow misplaced one of the keys for the apartment and were charged €20 and to top it off, the guy on reception didn't even bother to see if we had a nice time or wished us well. I am so disappointed with the experience and doubt I will ever return which I'm so disheartened as I've recommended this place to many over the years. We previously stayed in the villas on 4 occasions but this was our first time in the hotel part.
Sucks and I would never stay here again. Nothing was opened and it was under construction in April. Restaurants were closed and offered very limited options (the one near the pool only had 4 foods). No towels offered at pool area, elevator wasn’t working near beach, restaurant at beach was closed, and SOOOOOOOO MANY FREAKIN’ stairs. No parking nearby and you have to walk far to pool or drive there (wtf!) Lord have mercy. Oh…and by the way, you are NOT allowed to play with balls, have floats or any pool games in the pool!!!! No joke. Pathetic. Kids will not have any fun alone. Pool area has a little snack bar but the food is boring, plain and very limited. It’s sad. Hotel didn’t have any sugar for coffee, no dish towels or dish soap.
Late review (stayed in July 23). The location is the only positive here. Our room was clean but in need of repair, the balcony design is terrible and can’t be enjoyed. The main pool had lots of loose sharp tiles. The seaside pool was full of hair and kids sick. The final straw was when they agreed to a late check out, but we had a very rude lady bang on our door shouting at us for missing checkout time, even after I explained it was agreed by her male colleague! Terrible place that we will never return to
