Prairie Hotel

We used this hotel as our base for exploring Mt Rainer national park. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Room was huge with two queens and a sofa bed. Had a microwave and refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable and we never heard sound.

Stayed for two nights during a visit to friends. Very nice room. Comfortable bed, very clean, quiet, easy parking, well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Lots of space for unpacking and putting things away if you're staying longer. Staff was very friendly and they have incidentals and snacks for sale in the lobby. It's central to lots of things in town, too. Highly recommend.

I've given 5 stars since I first started staying here about 5 years ago, give or take. But my last 2 stays (both in 2025) would be 3 stars. The price has gone up but nothing comes with it. In fact, things have gone downhill. The rooms no longer have coffee pots. On my last stay, the TV didn't work. There are no complimentary lotion bottles. I like the non carpet floors, but they need to be mopped. Only 2 of the rooms I've stayed in have had no carpet. The last 2 times my feet have turned almost black from the dirty floors. The area is quiet, so that's nice. And the pillows are great. But the bed in the last room was very squeaky. You couldn't roll over without making noise. The new AC units with the wall thermostats, are very finicky. With all this in mind, and the fact that there's no breakfast offered at all, the price really isn't worth it.
