The hotel has a beautiful view over the valley and that is a scene to be remembered. Staff is really helpful and friendly. The villas are really nicely decorated and you really get the feeling of sleeping close to nature. The sounds of frogs, Geckos and cicadas serving as white noise to fall asleep.

We stayed two nights at the Pramana Hotel and two nights at the Artist Village, and the whole experience was amazing. When we arrived, I was still dealing with the last bit of Bali belly, and the staff, especially the kind hostess Yulia, immediately showed care and made sure I was comfortable. They sent tea to our room and several team members checked in to see how I was feeling. I recovered quickly and was able to enjoy the rest of our stay in full health. The hotel itself is beautiful. Everything from the rooms to the villas to the pool is well maintained and feels like a peaceful escape. The whole place gives off that honeymoon vibe. There’s a great restaurant on-site with room service available, yoga sessions, strong WiFi, and some of the best views from the pool area. Even the little touches were thoughtful. The bathrooms are stocked with the hotel’s own line of wonderfully scented shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, bath foam, and bath salts, all restocked daily. We truly loved our time at Pramana Watu Kurung. It’s one of those places that stays with you, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

I really don't know how this place has so many glowing reviews. At first glance the place is gorgeous, but once you zoom in, you quickly see how dirty everything is which made the stay extremely uncomfortable for us and we checked out before the end of our stay and moved somewhere else at our own expense. Among the unpleasant things we encountered: moldy curtains, stained and damp sheets, dirty surfaces and floors, the room smelling bad, noise. We were also upset that during booking, it wasn't mentioned anywhere that the room we booked is outside the main resort area ("Artist" village) and that the bathroom in its entirety is open to the outdoors (including the wardrobe which was oddly placed there). To clarify - the bathroom has three walls and then it's just open to the pool area. So if someone is in the pool they can clearly see the toilet (the curtain doesn't hide much) and they need to get out if you want to go. Even then, they can hear you - not the romantic trip we had in mind. Weird being on the toilet and hearing full conversations outside, not to mention bird droppings next to the shower and other creatures paying a visit. Not at all a horrible stay, but definitely not what you expect when staying at a place like this and definitely not worth the high price tag. As mentioned, the resort is indeed beautiful and the staff were generally very nice, which is the main reason I'm not giving this place one star.
