Practical Survival Guide to Prestige Hotel & Aquapark: Before I start keep in mind these simple advices: - Most of the personnel DOESN'T speak English. If you speak Russian, Bulgarian or German then you're covered. - They DO NOT have a private beach. They have a collaboration with the owner of another beach which is at 2.2 km in the direction of the port. Now, back to the guide: 1. The check-in is after 14 for everyone. No chances to get a room before that hour. Maybe if you speak Russian you're in luck but usually they tend to respect this rule. So if you come early in the morning, they will not even advise you on how to get a glass of water. Fear not: Just go outside in the pool area and turn immediately left and you will find coffee, water and some biscuits. 2. Prestige Hotel & Aquapark and Prestige Hotel & Aquapark Deluxe are two different buildings of the same complex area. You can use the facilities of both hotels, including pools but you have to park the car in the car parking of the hotel where you are staying. At the moment of this review (5th July 2025) the price is 20 BGN (10 EUR) per day. Usually on the local hotels the car parking is paid at the end (in case you will leave early) but in this hotel you have to pay in ADVANCE. Just be aware. 3. As I said, they do not have a private beach so if you want to get a transportation and secure your sunbed and umbrella, you need to participate in a sort of Hunger Games scenario: They have just 4 mini van that can transport 16 persons per time so just 64 people in total and you need to register in person starting 17:00 at the reception of Prestige Hotel & Aquapark Deluxe. They do not even use an online system for registration, you need to be there in person and they will write on paper the available slot for you to go to the beach (if you are lucky enough to get a spot). 4. If you cannot secure a spot but you still want to go to the beach, or you will pay for a spot in a private beach or you can use the free beach areas available. 5. In theory at the pool area, you should not occupy a sunbed unless you are there in person but the reality is that, before 7 o'clock in the morning, most of the spots are occupied by towels and those people usually come to the pool at lunch or after. Now you know. 6. At the pool area you have a bar that communicates with the lobby bar. Well, in the lobby bar you will NEVER see someone working, since they are all busy in the bar outside. So no chance to avoid the queue for a beer in the evening. You have to stay in line outside. 7. While in the lobby or in the restaurant area, be prepared for very low temperatures due to the heavy use of the air conditioning system. Be careful if you have young kids because the difference in temperature between inside and outside is huge. 8. Do not expect to have your room cleaned every day. You must ask using the door sign (one side says do not disturb and the other one says clean my room) or by speaking one of the available languages and English is not one of those. By the way, if you will need additional toilet paper, do NOT ask. Just grab it yourself when you see a cleaning cart available. BONUS: Since kids running wild in the lobby and with no manners are not enough, the hotel has decided to put a full working piano available close to the restaurant entrance. So expect some weird concerts every day where the average performer is 5 years old. PRO: The food, the room size, some of the personnel at the bar, some of the personnel at the restaurant, the animation team. CONS: Everything else.
If you reserve an apartment, make sure you ask for one which has windows both in the bedroom and living room. We had the ‘luck’ to receive one which has no windows in the bedroom. Having a 1 year old and keeping him in exclusive AC kind of ruined our holiday. Should have been advertised as one room and one big closet. No interest from the stuff to solve the situation although we asked repeatedly. Update: the situation was solved by our travel agency. We were moved into an apartment which has windows in both rooms . It is sad that this could not be solved only by speaking at the reception. Update for the hotel : please do not try to tell that you were helpful - we tried changing the apartment twice before reaching to out travel agency : once immediately after viewing the apartment and once in the morning . Each time I was told it cannot be done. Furthermore I was told that now only the rooms with two bedrooms have windows in both rooms. Guess what - the apartment we had was with two bedrooms. I did not enjoy spending half of the day speaking with the travel agency and moving the luggage from one apartment to another when this could have been solved from the arrival. Other than that - the rooms were renovated , the food is ok and the beach is 5 minutes away.
