We enjoyed our long stay at the Prime Bosphorus Hotel in Beşiktaş and would definitely recommend and visit again. The rooms are good quality but in areas need some maintenance. The location is excellent but I recommend earplugs as Istanbul doesn’t sleep, and the school/college across the road is quite noisy. The staff cannot do enough to help you, they made the whole trip special even when we were not feeling so good. The breakfast is exceptional, and all round the customer service is A1. It’s an easy walk downhill into town but close by there are supermarkets, chemist and cafes. It’s also very easy to get a taxi here, either Uber or the staff will organise a cab. I recommend the airport transport booked via reception. Also the room service ordering system is ok for most things, but it’s easy enough to organise other food and essentials with reception

I had to use all 3 of my emails because of how bad my stay was. I can’t even fit it all into one review. But to recover from surgery, not even be able to use your own rooms air con, then a second room, you can’t even use your fridge for your medicine and have to use the staff fridge outside your room, it’s ridiculous. Then the manager saying he would meet monday, and not bothering is the cherry on top. I was told yesterday, then he would meet me before checking out. More hassle, why would I want to sort all of this out just before going to the airport ? It’s 4am and I was woken up by staff in reception at this time again, even after asking them to be quiet. There was still noise. It’s too laid back and non chalant for me. However the cleaner, and some staff were impeccable. The services and treatments were just rubbish, and the staff lack the capacity to care for guests. The manager only clearly cares about money. He’s more interested in meeting for me to pay for a Tv I never broke, instead of sorting out the hotel rooms issues. Scandalous.

Where to even start, I don’t know. Leaking air conditioning all over my luggage, broken showers, broken fridges, broken TVs, broken aircon. This review will be long so I will need to do another review I came to Istanbul for one week to have eye surgery. It was absolutely vital and the bare minimum that I have a decent stay, as expected in any hotel you pay money for. Day one I checked in, everything was alright. I slept here for one night with no issues. Air conditioning was very slow to work, but worked after a few minutes. I didn’t take any notice of this on my first night, it was also 1am in the morning so I barely looked at the hotel room itself. I got straight into bed The next day at 8am I was picked up to go for surgery. I was not in the hotel at all that day, and when I came back, I was blind and could not see till the next day. That night when I was recovering, the air conditioning was slow again. I was too medicated to even notice, the next day I woke up I was soaked in sweat. The aircon was after shutting off in my sleep, it was 36*C. Again I brushed this off, opened the windows and took a cold shower. I was heavily medicated again and went asleep, the next day I woke up again with sweat, and the bed was soaked. I’m not sure if this point if it was sweat, or if it was the air con leaking all over my bed. So again I slept all day and recovered. That night at 1/2am. I woke up to water dripping on my face and the sound of water hitting off the floor, my vision was about 50% at this point. When I turned on the light, there was a huge puddle of water all over the floor, water was leaking from the air con, all over the left side and pillows of my bed and all into my suitcase where my clothes and luggage were. I panicked, jumped up, turned on all the lights too see all my clothes, the bed, pillows and floor covered in water. I turned on the TV too for extra light and when I turned on the TV, there were two cracks and holes in the TV screen. I had only noticed this at this point as the first few days, I wasn’t really in the hotel as I was at the hospital getting surgery and when I was back in the hotel I was completely medicated and had no vision due to my eyes I went straight to reception to report the issue, I was completely brushed off and told there was no other option but to stay in the room that night. I explained it was +28*C, I just had surgery, the room was inoperable, I was too hot, soaked and wet and at this point, but again I was told I had to stay there. The best they could do for me that night at 1am in the morning, was throw a new set of bed sheets on top of an already soaked mattress and give me two new pillows. Of course even with the new sheets on the bed, the room was still inhospitable. I was told the next day they would move me into a different room. I completely understand that they couldn’t give me a room that night, but to not give it the next day on top of other issues is disgraceful. Anyways, I bit my tongue, and stayed there again that night. The next morning I woke up, the room was cooler as I had the windows fully open, but still too warm. When I looked on the floor again, there was water all on the floor and bed sheets again, my clothes were still wet at this point.. I had enough that morning and reported the issue to reception staff again. I said I couldn’t stay there, told them about the TV again on top of the air conditioning and room conditions. To which it was completely flipped around on me, and I was accused of being the one who broke the TV. I explained how I couldn’t have broken the TV and that I was barely there/ blind and only noticed it once I was fully back to myself. I was then told it could’ve been me leaving the window open, and that the wind could have blown the window against the TV and broke it. Without the TV turned on you wouldn’t really be able to see the cracks. However once it was on you could. They told me I would have to pay for the TV. I was exhausted, tired, in pain and sore so I didn’t want to argue. TO BE CONTINUED.
