We had an amazing week at Prinsotel Alba and will definitely be back! We only wish we had booked a longer stay. Pros: - Location, location, location! You have the beach, the shops and some great restaurants within under 5 minutes walk. - Rooms are modern and well kept. Lovely power shower and the comfiest beds we’d experienced in Majorca (and we are a very tall family who usually struggles for legroom!) - Kids club is amazing and staff are exceptional. They kept the kids so entertained from morning til night! - Staff were always friendly and helpful - we spoke to everyone from the manager, to waiting staff, to cleaners and everyone is so keen to make sure you have a nice holiday. - The amount of swimming pool options are brilliant - two kids splash pools, one kids swimming pool and a large deep pool too. So much choice! Plus the mini playground was very well received by our kids. - Grounds are beautiful and well kept - Others have complained about it being too noisy but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all and we travelled with a 1 and 3 year-old. We loved the varied evening entertainment - it wasn’t garish or tacky, just an interesting mix of live musicians and entertainers. The kids disco at 8pm every night was great and the kids club staff did an amazing job dressing up as different characters each night. Music was finished by 10pm. Cons - Rooms would benefit from a ‘kitchenette’. We appreciated having the microwave and kettle, but it was tricky to prepare food for the kids without a worktop area or a sink for washing up. Probably only a real issue if you have a young family like us. - Some basic things are missing from the room which wouldn’t cost much to rectify (hooks on doors for towels/ jackets, some shelving and more wardrobe space). In the two-bedroom suites there was not enough wardrobe space for 4 people. But this isn’t a major issue. Ultimately, we all agreed it was a great hotel and for the price we paid, we couldn’t be happier. We have stayed at much more expensive hotels in Cala D’or and preferred Prinsotel Alba. We are already dreaming about going back!
Second visit to the Prinstol and fourth to Cala D’or. Great location for a family holiday. Great family friendly hotel. Breakfast is good. Lunch at pool bar is reasonable and good selection on the menu. My daughter wanted to go to a kids camp for the first time after one of the girls asked would she like to go painting and looked to go several days after. Daniela took special care of her as she was a little shy. I did find it strange that her manager decided to move her to different location. My daughter wouldn’t go the last day as she wasn’t there. She was so kind and caring with my daughter.
The staff is very kind. I booked the parking place, which is very nice. The hotel location is good, but the beach Gran is full of people. The room is really very average. The phone and TV in the living area don’t work. The coffee machine leaks, and the bathroom ceiling is also leaking. One of the towels had stains. Our room is on the ground floor, with a balcony facing the children’s playground. The bedroom windows also face a kids' water play area, so it’s very noisy during the day. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the photos — far too small for the number of guests at the hotel. In the morning, all the lounge chairs are already covered with towels. Evening entertainment is extremely loud as well. In the morning 8 am, the gardner began the gardening work, very noisy, so impossible to sleep in. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely not the place for you. It feels more like a campsite, which I personally really dislike…
