We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Prinsotel La Caleta and can’t recommend it highly enough for families. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. What truly made our holiday unforgettable was the Kids Club. The team working there were simply incredible – warm, enthusiastic, and full of energy every single day. They created a safe, fun, and engaging environment where our children felt comfortable and excited to go every morning. The activities were creative and well-organized, from arts and crafts to treasure hunts and mini-discos. It was clear how much thought and care went into making sure the kids had the best time possible. A special thank you to the staff at the Kids Club – you are absolute stars! Your kindness and dedication made such a positive impact on our children, and as parents, we truly appreciated the peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The pools are lovely, the food is delicious with lots of variety, and the location near the beach is perfect. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, and every member of the staff was polite, helpful, and always smiling.
The hotel is well kept and the garden area beautifully styled, which we really appreciated. However, the rooms are very small. We have a son who uses a wheelchair, and we had to leave his chair outside the room because there simply wasn’t space for it inside. Usually, we get a wheelchair-adapted room, but this time we didn’t. We also had a problem with ants in our room. We complained twice – after the first time, the receptionist took action and sent someone to spray, but it didn’t get rid of them completely. After our second complaint, there was no offer to change rooms, and the same receptionist seemed bothered by us bringing it up again. They sprayed once more, which reduced the ants but didn’t eliminate them. In the end, we were just tired of complaining and dealing with the poor service. Unfortunately, because of these experiences, we don’t think we will stay at this hotel again.
We stayed at this hotel for just one day, even though we had paid for four, and ended up moving to the Gran Meliá, paying extra unexpectedly. The sheets smelled strongly of sweat, as if washed with little detergent, and the blanket smelled like it had been used by countless guests before us. The room had an unpleasant, dirty odor, and the bathroom was in poor condition with holes in the ceiling, mold in the shower, and a clogged sink. The food was low quality and poorly prepared. If you can spend a bit more for comfort and cleanliness, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The photos and price may look appealing online, but the reality is very different. To make matters worse, when we asked for a taxi to our new hotel after deciding to leave (and leaving them our money), the receptionist refused, saying taxis were only for trips to the airport or hospital. She even remarked, “I don’t know what you’ll do there,” which was extremely rude. Overall, terrible customer service and a very disappointing experience.
