The booking process was very easy. I called the hotel and they were not only able to secure a booking for me, but keeping my budget in mind they also gave me complete flexibility on the room types and the dates of my stay, which is typically not so easy with other hotels. I also received my confirmation immediately on email. The room was very clean, it had newly carpeted floors and the bathroom was very large. It was the perfect size for three people. What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional service, which is once again far superior to all of the 5 star and self-claimed 7 star hotels I’ve stayed at. We were always greeted by the reception, no matter how busy they were. The staff knew us by name and noticed what we did and didn’t like including our drinks and meals at breakfast (which was absolutely delicious and had a lovely selection). This to me was a phenomenal attention to detail. The cleaning staff even arranged my bed to the way I liked it without having to express my preferences. Every single staff member felt like a member of our own family and we all very much appreciated the extent that they would go out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The hotel had a beautiful and charming rustic feel. It feels very intimate and has warm décor. The lobby was like being in your own living room, the breakfast area had nooks with feather pillows that made the seating very comfortable. I can end my review by saying that the moment you step in the front door, it truly feels like we were coming back home to our second-family. It was the first time that I felt emotional when we had to leave a hotel. That’s how good it was. I wish the hotel and its staff all the happiness and success they deserve.
This was an incredible old world style hotel which has now closed at this location. I highly recommend the sister hotel on the outskirts of Munich which has a very nice beer garden!
Bit too far from city center, and duvet was smaller than usual. Wifi is very expensive but they may give it out for free if you ask. Other than that, all good.
