My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Atlantic. The hotel and all staff were very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful large room, great bathroom. Great view, close to beach and many amenities.
This hotel went above and beyond assistance. Laura made up for the bad experience we had with the VRBO reservation. For that, we are grateful .
Firstly, this place is all for show... Its more akin to a showcase room than an actually functional place to stay. When you arrive it looks elegant and spacious. Initial reaction, was this was a 5 star experience.... After a week there (feb '22), that initial 5 star fell to 2 star 😑🤦🏾♂️ Private residence at Atlantic, basically equals an Air B&B, inside a fully stocked hotel & resort. However, because it's privately owned, you get none of the benefits of the hotel (ie room service, cleaning, towels sheets, cots etc) and all of the hidden fees. Keep in mind u can get these things but the hotel will charge u out of pocket for each. 20-40 dollars just for some additional washcloths or towels, that the owner will not supply 🙄 Your left to rely on owners who are not there and do not leave the supplies one would need for a week long stay. Pro's: looks elegant. Spacious. Relatively friendly hotel staff Cons: Hotel staff rather not be bothered... Room key become demagnetized easily, roach and waterbug infestation , dirty rooms, no room service or ammenities fir the private resident rooms, false advertising rooms with feature not provided (i. E. Room with pull out couch for addition sleep arrangement , actually doesn't have pullout couch) nickle and dime charge for extra sheets or towels or cleaning supplies. Old thermostat that puts of fumes when adjusting or heating the room. Broken , non functional locks on doors. Dirty carpets broken vacum, broken iron , no sheets, no towels... Lastly on day of check out ... After initially paying thousand and more... The hotel surprises you with a beautiful additional bills for hundreds more... For cleaning charges and daoly nonses fees and surcharges... When we went out of our way to buy cleaning suppliea and clean ourselves daily. Wtd?! 200 dollars for check out cleaning... When we arrived room, utensils and floors were filthy, so I dont know why they charge for check out cleaning... When place is dirty regardless 🤷🏾♂️ BUYER BEWARE and if you choose to stay... Just book directky with the overpriced hotel. At least then you get basics that a resort should give!
