Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town North Wharf

Room was so spacious and clean, the service was great and their food portions are big and tasty. I wasn't a fan of the ice cream though

Thank you Protea Hotel Cape Town North for hosting us so beautifully! We had a memorable time and the service was great. The atmosphere was perfect, music subtly playing in the background which allowed for us to have good and wholesome conversations. The food was good too! My aunt and I ordered the grilled line fish with potato wedges. The fish was a little dry and overcooked, and there wasn’t much lemon butter sauce on it. This was a little disappointing, however the potato wedges were lovely! My mom ordered the lamb curry which she thoroughly enjoyed, and her sister ordered the 300g Sirloin steak. Both of them enjoyed their respective meals. Their menu is fairly reasonably priced for the quantity and portion size, and regardless, the food was well seasoned. The server was friendly, and hosted us really well. Constantly checking in with us and even shared with us about the loyalty program we could join. He was well informed with the products the hotel offers, which was highly impressive! The rest of the staff were also very welcoming and friendly! Overall, we had a great time visiting this establishment!

Average in terms of look and feel. The rooms were very neat and fresh. It had a safe. The views were great but the main window in the lounge did not open and this was for safety reasons but it felt as though the window was pretty nihilistic. So it looked pretty, would have been amazing if we could open it and enjoy a breeze.
